Most large supermarkets will have them on the shelf - and WH Smith seem to permanently have deals on memory cards.

Plenty wrong with the pit of your stomach making acquaintance with the back of your throat as your day's pics fail to materialise on your PC screen due to an error with a memory card of unknown provenance.

its ok my current one is 2nd hand like my camera. i got a great deal on the whole package and its not let me down so far!

i've managed to pick up a new one for £32 from fleabay which i dont know if its a good thing or not!

There are allegedly a lot of fake memory cards on the old fleabay however, if you have bought from a reputable supplier then there shouldn't be any worries.

You can pick up 8GB cards for around £30 normally from the top manufacturers. However, once you start getting in to good transfer rates (if taking large batches of pics on continuous drive) the price jumps considerably.

You can even get decent speed Sandisk cards for around that price.

It's not worth risking a "bargain" really. How much are you genuinely going to save?

i got the card through the post yesterday

the back didnt have a serial number so i got in touch with sandisk

there was a serial number on the edge i gave that to them emailed them pics etc

thankfully its a genuine 16gb ultra card!

chuffed!
