Leaving home in the sunshine yesterday when Mrs JohnA shouts to tell me that one of my rear lights was out. Strange I thought, because they are not switched on.

Turned out to be the "big white one" that wasn't on, but its opposite number, "big red one" was burning bright and would not switch off. This was coupled with a .0 volts warning.

After much fumbling with the fog light switch I gave up and disconnected the wires in the boot. Started again with no problem, so the voltage warning was spurious.

Fog light switch is working in its capacity to set up the LCD.

Any experience of this, or any ideas?

Hi John,

I have a fog light on scenario, however mine only happens if I start the car with the side lights on. Very weird. I do not get the 0 volts warning either.

Not much help I know but thought I would share it.

We had the same problem, just kept pushing the button that changes the displays and eventually, the fog light went out. happened twice now and each time frantic button pushing turns it off,

xx

Thanks - sorted. Twiddling, as opposed to pushing, the pod display button has put out the fog light.
Quite how these are connected - physically, electrically - or even logically - is well beyond me.
