Interesting - categorically denied though by Steve at Lindbrook, although AFN seem to thing it's entirely probable. Another opinion from AFN was that the C4 would only be available as a widebody car .

Oh dear, Porsche are once again drowning themselves with variations on the everlasting 911 theme; when will they make us a proper new car???
Awaiting for the V8 GT coupé...

V8 ? Tricky.
Why break with tradition for the front engined cars and stick VW's splendid new W12 under the bonnet ?
There's always the Cayenne Thom. Front engined V8 anyone ?

I'm talking about CARS, you know Greg, one of these four-wheeled devices you definitely don't own
And what's wrong with VW? I'm glad my own car has bits from them, at least the repair bill doesn't make my face turn white when something goes wrong. By the way, the Cayenne shares his chassis with the forthcoming VW SUV my dear, so exchanging knowledge might not be a bad idea after all

So, they are calling their higher performance cars 'S' then. Wonder where they got that idea from? We'll have a 911 R and Boxster Speed 12 next then.

Well, somehow they got the idea for 'S' in 1967 - 911S, production ran until 69, reintroduced in 1970-71 and 1972-73, 1974-77..... just to prove complete anorak status, they've got the jump on T,L,E,RS,SC suffixes too.

Would love to see a 12 cylinder in a Boxster though, maybe Brabus, would oblige....

The turbo S is already out. It has an additional 30bhp over the turbo. The 0-60 and 0-100 are the same but the top speed is increased by a full 1mph.Extra cost for the S is around £ 6000.00

1mph extra for 6k, seems like a waste of time really. It seems there is a diminishing scale of returns when it comes to adding more engine power. UV's 350bhp turbo 2 feels just as fast as my friends 450bhp 300zx, of sthe same weight and layout. Even the most extreame 911 turbo's put in similar performance figures. There seems to be a point in the power output when it becomes more productive to loose weight instead. Even though the exige has a 1.8 engine it can still crack 60 in 4.5 and the lightweight Radicals manage it in 3. Weight loss seems to be the way to go.

I've heard that they're finally going to build a 997 911 RS.
Now if THAT'S the case then I will have to check it out despite the fact that I want to get my 550M back.

Anyone here own an RS...??? I LOVE those cars - as rare as white elephants too.
