My first Canon 400d pic.

Here is my first pic from my new camera that i actually like.



Had to chop it down a bit as i am no good at photoshop/resizing etc.
Any and all comments welcome.

Good work, the hardest thing with pets is keeping them still.
The 400d is a great camera, i love mine.

Try to get the focus on the eyes or people/animals, will make things look better, as thats what you look at.

I did a few that had puurrfect eyes but the whiskers made it look like she was lying behind wires.
Chloe loves being made a fuss of, so i think she will be my test subject for quite awhile.

Help? How do you mean?

on any other mode appart from auto, press the + magnify/af point selection button.

When the screen changes press set on the D pad. Then select the middle spot.


This then will only focus where you point the camera, rather then the usual closest point.

I like the way you've already worked out how to photoshop out your hands round her neck, cause that cat is definitely looking in the right direction.

My OH breeds various rabbit breeds. And we also have an african grey, dusky conure, chocky lab, tropical tank and an horsfield tortoise.
So i think animals will be where i am for photo's and would like to get some night sky stuff as well.

I've found taking pictures of our cats to be the most difficult thing ever. Totally uncooperative creatures. So getting a good shot is an art, and especially getting focus and all that bang on.

(Plus I'm a sucker for cats these days, and I haven't seen ours for over a year. Long story. Especially a picture of a torti which is technically my cat at home.)
