advice please - long trip ahead

hi guys

I am about to drive from Verona Italy back to Northampton in my Speed 6 Cerbera

I had the car serviced by a local specialist recently who used 15 50 Motul oil - we decided to go for this to improve oil pressure slightly when the car runs hot.

Problem is it is difficult to get hold of out here - cant just go down to the local Halfords equivalent

I am about to drive back to UK next week - around 900 miles and may need to top up on the way back.
Is it ok to mix oils ie. a 15w 40 or a 5w 40 oil - just to top up. I have some of this in the back of the car

The car doesnt tend to burn much oil but I want to be able top up if necessary

Mixing different viscosity is no problem at all. It also shouldn't be a problem to mix synthetic and semi-synth. Some say you shouldn't mix mineral with synth or semi-synth, but I assume you're not running mineral anyway.

Ha ha!! Yes, I know. I have been in Italy for the past 2,5 years - have loved every minute bu my wife and I want to lay down some roots in the UK and are moving back to make room for the patter of tiny feet!!
