Following a comment in another thread, I wondered what games people have dusted off after a period of neglect?

I spent a few hours playing about with Ace Combat 6 all over again, and my main reason for posting this was the shock I had in finding that there were still people playing online games! Forgive me for sounding a little niave with that comment, but for a game released in 2007, I was impressed that it still retained an online following, considering the number of similar, more recent titles.

So, what have you found again recently?

I recently finished Bioshock, after starting and abandoning it about 18 months ago. It was actually a great game.

I have the week off this week and a bad throat, so I need to shake that before I go out on Wednesday. Staying in for the next two days and retro gaming it is.

Cheers guys, fantastic idea.

Not a game, but my brother, who is 14, purchased an Atari 2600. What great fun it is!

And also recently found Gran Turismo 3 for the Playstation 2. Remember playing that for hours on end!

Funny this popped up.

I reinstalled unreal tournament 2004 on the weekend and was VERY shocked to find the multiplayer player side of it is still quite active. Multiple servers with 32 players full!!! Wasted a good few hours there biggrin

I downloaded an emulator to my phone over the weekend.

NES, SNES, Mega Drive and PSX.

Spent a few hours yesterday hungover playing with streets of rage 2. Mortal Kombat 3. Dynamite Heady.

Also dug out the real PSX and Mega drive to put under the telly. The OH said no, too many wires already. A small electrical fire waiting to happen...frown

Absolutely brilliant. Something I don't think I'll ever uninstall from my PC.

Very surprising to hear of games that are quite a few years old still having a large online fan base. I suppose because I also stop playing the games that I just forget that there may still be a large following. Good to hear others have been doing the same thing with some great titles!

Yeah I do too. But they're both better than 4, 5 and 6.

As above, Ace Combat.. Am doing the missions at the moment, love the game! biggrin Will get the new one when it comes out in June.

I also thought I might download GTA: San Andreas for some reason. Remember the one when you could make a gang follow you around, and go and fight the other gangs near your home town. And when you could go to the desert and fly the fighter jets biggrin

I did the same, got to Gran Pulse and just got mauled by the enemies there, didn't want to spend ages getting stronger fighting the same stuff again and again.

It's not too bad if you sneak up on king behemoths and pre emptive strike them, kill them in a single stagger and receive 4000CP, couple hours of that and doing some cieth stone missions and you are more than strong enough to progress in the story, I'm now on the final chapter and about 3 bosses away from then end, looks like some more harvesting CP is required though frown
