Colour change re-spray?

How much for an S1/S2 colour change these days? Most likely to black.

Decent job I'd guess around £1500 - £2000 ? Are you happy to have the under bonnet bits left original colour, imagine its a right pain to mask up or remove all the bits on the bulkhead ?

Maybe save a bit doing some of the stripping out / refitting yourself ?

But why black ? its a sports car not a hearse !!!

Had a quote for a concours quality re-spray with boot, bonnet, doors and screen out but back to original colour £3.5k +VAT

At that price I think I'll just wait till the right one comes along. Won't bother too much about exact colour now, just condition.

Just don't think black suits little sports cars be they TVRs MGs Mazdas or whatever, maybe ok on the odd Lambo or similar exotica but if Black "rocks your boat" I hope you find one !
