Spotted outside Ross-on-Wye this morning. Caught up with it just outside of Gloucester and followed him for around 40 miles to Hereford. The driver wasn't pressing on at all but the one time he did floor it I'm very pleased to report that a) it sounded glorious and b) it left me for dead!

You're allowed to go over the white line; he might have been doing it for vision. Besides, I'm not having this thread turning into a discussion of his or my driving. Trust me, I'm bloody well paying attention when following a car like that. Can you imagine the insurance claim otherwise? It does look nice though!!
ETA: The bit with Focus did look quite close, I'll give you that!

Only messin' fella!! It does look lovely from the back, which I imagine is the picture most people are going to get from one!(but back off a bit if you're ever behind me)

Haha, you're OK; the rollseyes was more at the thought of the insurance phone call. Besides, if you didn't like that driving you really wouldn't have liked it when he booted it (but back off a bit if you're ever behind me)

I would have killed to have seen that. I bet it sounded beautiful! They are certainly going to be few and far between IMO. I get the feeling that the majority of the clientelle that it's competition are aimed at will not have even heard of one, and (most of) us poor souls who love them will never get near to smelling the kind of cash needed to own one!I'm not defending the guy, I said at the time his driving was a little questionable. I conceed I was a bit close but the zoom makes it look worse than it was.
Regarding speed, I did say he wasn't exactly going for it!
Regarding the lane discipline thing you are allowed to move over the crown of the road (assuming broken white lines) for better vision. This car was left hand drive too, making it a little harder for him to see. Having said that you shouldn't really be in the middle of the road for oncoming traffic!!
