I knew it was SOTW but didnt read the story, perhaps the op should have pointed it out instead of semi-ranting.

Isn't that Cat B? can anyone do a free HPI check?

In a similar vein, I saw a loaf of bread on sale in Tesco's for 78p. My mate in the business says they paid less than that for it. They just sell it to unknowing punters at a profit!

Eh?

Edit: Ah, it's on page 5. So it wasn't declared as Cat B in the Pistonheads ad either.

Give over. I'll tell you what happened....

1. car is advertised.
2. car doesn't sell.
3. owner trades it in.
4. dealer wants to make some money, he has a family to feed.
5. dealer tries to sell car for more than he paid for it.

Exactly what part of that is making you angry? FFS, it's not like he has bought a new supercar to try and flog at a premium to idiots that want to jump the waiting list, is it?

REDUCED FOR QUICK SALE AS NEED MONEY URGENTLY
Owner wanted out in a hurry, trader bought it and advertised it for what they think is the going rate, what's your problem with this?

Anyway, who ever pays that money for that car needs their head read. The original price was about right. It's a slab of unattractive crap.

What is wrong with that?

A car is worth what someone will pay for it.

Sorry, but am I missing something? If it is Cat B doesn't that mean It has to be broken and can't be re-sold?

Yep, it has to be broken up, only the parts can be re-used, the shell has to be crushed.
