Since installing Kazza my PC has been running like a dog with three legs. Looking at task manager the CPU is constantly at 100% and there is a process called services.exe that seems to be just taking up any spare CPU capacity. If I try to stop the process it gives me a message saying it’s a critical system process and cannot be terminated. I’ve uninstalled Kazza and ran spybot but I still get the problem.

I’m running Win 2K pro service pack 4. There’s a hit on the MS web site for a similar issue but it says it’s fixed in SP4:

Any ideas?

services.exe is the clever name for all the background tasks that are running.

goto start-run-"services.msc" without "" and see whats in there, be damned careful tho. I killed my PC completely by stopping some of the services...
