Was either going to break it for parts then scrap the rest or just put it on autotrade since the lowest price one on there is £800+

Thoughts?

Do they have knackered gearboxes too?

how much is a new gearbox? is it worth the pain of fitting a 2nd hand one as other than that it looks quite tidy - might be lucky and find its just a massive stone wedged underneath or a random bush thats gone - not normally that lucky though!

good to break if you have the space - would expect the wheels to get over half that purchase price on their own

You'd certainly get your money back and then some if you break it, but it does seem a shame.

Knocking from the gearbox sounds strange.

I would lean more towards the driveshafts/C.V joints or even the engine mounts (he probably hears the odd clunk and the gearlever moves at the same time as the unsecured engine). Worst case scenario would be the engine itself of course but let's not think about that. wink

Lol, indeed

I'd try and work out what's actually wrong with it. I'm guessing nothing too major.

Fix, clean and sell on. I doubt there's a massive market for breaking it

That n/s front wheel looks a bit too far back in the arch, despite the wheel being at an angle..

Knocking from front, i would look there first!

Think I would rather pay that bit extra and buy a standard one without the wheels/ tints and faults.scratchchin
