Toddler Bike.. Which one?

My son has a Hotwalk too and is loves it - we bought my daughter a cheapy balance bike a few years ago but it was crap - the Hotwalk is very stable and handles really well! My son is now 3 and desperately wants pedals but can now do sort of wheelies and such things on the Hotwalk!

Although they are quite expensive, you'll probaby get 70% of it back in 2 years time as they seem to hold their value really well.

The Rothans are very good, and the saddle goes really low. We got the Likeabike Jumper, which is silly money now, and unnecessary unless your kid has aspirations to go into trials.

The suspension is pretty good, but the saddle doesn't go as low as the Rothan, so you can't start them so young.

The suspension bike looks really good but I think I will upgrade my sons bike to something a bit more nuts when he is a bit older. Maybe when he is 3!?
I am thinking of getting the Hotwalk. It will serve him well between now, till he is nearer to 3. Also as mentioned I'd get my money back .. almost when it comes to selling it ;-) . so far the cheapest I have found it is £99 delivered.

After a year (24-36 months) the little fella took to the Islabike's CNOC14 and was off!

If a Hotrock is £99, pay the extra and got for the Isla Rothan. I promise you it's well worth the extra.
Essentially, the Rothan has a brake (which won't get used until they're probably ready for pedals) and the seat goes lower (which means it would be better suited to a younger/smaller child). Neither of these were considerations for me and my son wanted a 'blue one' so the Hotrock ticked more boxes (and I managed to get it for a great price at my LBS as I know them well).They're both fantastic bikes so get whatever suits your child the best.

Got my little fella an Islabikes Rothan for his 2nd birthday. At just over 3, he began riding a proper bike with no stabilisers and is now on his second Islabike. All the big kids street love his bike, they reckon it's the fastest on the street! The design and build quality are both excellent.
Balance bikes are great early on: we have a puky.
Isla bikes get good reviews and until recently it wasn't a brand I was aware of. But after having looked them up ALU frames and V brakes make sense, especially the latter as stopping is often a problem for our 5 y.o with little finger/wrist strength and crappy caliper brakes.

Our daughter has a Early Rider, loves it, and so do the general public, never had so many comments while out walking before

I tried out a wooden one with my eldest daugter and while it was good, i'd really recommend the metal ones. Much more robust.
My youngest has just graduated to an Isla CNOC 14 and she's up and going whilst not quite 3 1/2. One proud dad!
