If you were going away for 3 - 4 years would you sell?
Discussion
Sell it, buy lube with the money. Lube = currency in some places. Or you could keep it, and park it in an underground car park in London, then collect all the letters from the DVLA you will receive, because pikeys are trying to "claim" your "abandoned" car.

If you like it then keep it. The only thing is don't store it in your garage for 4 years. You will just come back to find it not in the condition you left it and have a whole load of problems. You want to get it stored properly in a dehumidified storage warehouse where they will also put in on a rolling road and run it upto temperature every couple of months.I think I will keep. My TVR is only in storage for the winter and I've put it in dehumidified storage. If you really want to keep the car then you will want to keep it in the condition it is in now and a grand a year really is nothing.
