this is how far i got the dash out leaving all wires still on
not to bad to get the heater out from hear

you can see in this one what the heater is fixed to on the dash not
very strong the old one had a bit on the bottom of it that sat on the
floor but the new one didn't have this so i packed it up with carpet to
support a bit more and you have to get it as forward possible or the temp
gauge hits the pipe on the front of the heater and you have to take it
all out again (yes i did have to ) lol

Thanks thats usefull, its good to know it can be accessed without removing the dash what year and mileage is your s1 by the way?

its 1988 i think mileage is about 96000 ish it will
be over 100000 by the end of the year after S Club
Scotland tour and S Club and every thing else but i have a heater now so i
can drive it without my coat on
smile

think my heater is knackard now, how much will I have to pay and were do I find one? this is starting to cost a bloody fortune

Hi Mikel
i paid £45 plus P&P from Norman (gerald-tvr) what is wrong with yours
the motor is ok on my old one the flap on the top had fallen in it and
was hitting the fan and has broken some of the fins on it if you wont it
i can send the hole thing to you just pay me the post £10 ish i think
you my be able to make a good one out of the two if you can get the motor
out of it

MG B Unit



MG Midget 1500 unit



They both look about the same shape/size could they fit? Anybody on here prepared to admit to owning either? Might be useful to put a knackered TVR one alongside to see.
