I had a set on for a track day at Croft a couple of weeks ago. I found them a bit unpredictable and then my front nearside caught fire when giving it a bit more hammer in the afternoon! To be fair, I don't think all the blame can be directed at the pads but it was interesting to say the least.
It must depend on the car I guess. I never rated M1144 that highly, ran them for a few years because they were cheap and reasonably good, but they had very little feel, only a moderately high temp rating and tended to crumble if overheated. I found the GreenStuff pads far better on track, the hotter they get the better they work, they have a far higher temp rating than the 1144s, only problem is they have extremely high disc wear and aren't very grippy from cold during the winter (nor are the tyres so this isn't as much of a problem as it might seem). Having said all that, I prefer DS2000 and Tarox XF to either of them in terms of pedal feel, temperature range, and wear rates. I haven't tried DS2500 yet but it is reputedly better still.
obviously my car isnt that powerful and not very heavy but I have fitted Red stuff ceramic to my Integra with standard disks and they are absolutely fantastic!.
Almost no difference from cold and much much improved brake feel and bite over standard pads. they havnt faded yet on the third roundabout from work just before I get home like the origonal pads do

I sell the redstuff and have had no complaints,people with the bad experiences on here i would like to know how long ago you tried them as the new material for the reds has only been out for 2 months now and all the pads are chamffered fitted with anti squeal shims.
Also the new greens are superb i think some of you must have been running the old green V4 material the latest compound out is AF44/78 and it should state this on the back of the pad,i admit the V4 was not that good but the new stuff is awesome

I'm just bedding in V4 AF44/78 but they did not come with anti squeal shims and they are squealing like made. They also have a friction accelerator.

ok,from my last comment on this,we on ssc have been given free pads from ebc to test out. they are the new compounds. i have been sent the redstuff ceramic pads for my saxo vts with billet 4pots.for some reason they seem to think i need them on the rears also,go figure,cos they will never get hot enough.
im gonna give them a go,and see how they work on track in a sub 900kgs car.

On the Integra the feel of the pads is far better than on the origonal pads. Did take 300 or so plus miles to bed in though. And they still havnt faded yet like the Honda pads did every day on the way back from work.
I am very happy with them but......
A problem has arrisen with the anti squeel shim on one side.
Took the car for a minor service and the guys at the garage pointed out to me that the shim had stated to slip out of the caliper.
I had a look and they had in fact slipped right out and started rubing a groove right through the HUB*
How it slipped out I have no idea as they were glued in place. This is something that has happened recently as only a few weeks ago I showed a guy from work and we would have seen.
I would have noticed while cleaning the car as well, for one the pad which was black is now bright red and the shim was very visable.
New disks now needed as the grove that has been worn is worrying me.

It wasnt just that one shim that had slipped.
I have just replaced the disks because of teh damage done by the shim that slipped on teh outside of teh passenger side pad.
All the other 3 shims had slipped as well
this is a very bad design flaw and extremely dangerous. i recon that if it wasnt spotted it would have worn right through th edisk.
The shims do not hook over the top of the pads like normal shims they are just flat and glued in place.
The glue must be melting at high temperature.
you can see in the bottom one the damage done to the disk.
