Nice to see Beckham is contributing to the "big society."

Genuine nice guy, publicity stunt or a secret love for the Nissan Primera?

My vote is genuine nice guy.

He went up in my opinion years ago when a pal in the know mentioned Posh and Becks do a lot of work for charities and the like that the actively do not seek publicity for and the press keep hush about

Not at all what I expected
I didnt think they did anything that wasnt manipulated and controlled

Good on 'em

"He said: "The emotion of it all got to me.

"I said, 'Thank you David. I love you, mate!' I think he was slightly embarrassed."

Bless.

I'm not sure I ever had him down as a wker. I feel a bit embaressed for him though. Matey with the Primera sounds a bit of a knob laugh

I've always quite liked the guy, this sounds like him. Good bloke. Saw him at the BTCC with Posh a couple of years ago too, which was also kept quiet but made me quite a fan smile

You wouldn't see any other footballer do that would you? He has also gone up in my books as well. Seems more decent than a lot of people.

He could at least have put on a show. Drop-kicked one of the kids over the hedge and shouted 'GOAL!' or something.

Nice guy. Glad that with all the traffic, only Beckham and one other person stopped to help.

Becks is just a bloody good lad. Never had him down as a tt. I was really impressed when he went out and visited our boys in Iraq.

I was listening to TalkSport the other morning on my way into work, and they had Harry Redknapp on the phone. He absolutely loves the guy. Says he's brilliant in training. Just gets on with it.

I heard that too - go to hospices with loads of presents for the kids etc and spend the day with them and so on.

He just seems like a really nice bloke full stop.

To be fair, a lot of footballers give to charity. Its just that many fail to [SUPER INJUNCTION].

He does sound a nice chap to be honest.

Getting anyone to stop and help if you have a break down can be a nightmare - people generally are just not helpful. I got T boned at a junction a couple of months ago and I couldn't even get the cars behind me to stop to be witnesses, they just pulled round avoided eye contact and drove off frown In the past I was in a traffic jam for about 40 minutes when I finally got to what was causing it, it was a broken down car blocking the road in a dip under a railway bridge - I stopped and towed the car off the road. Guy said he'd been trying to flag people down to help for about an hour,.. just stupid, if the 1st person behind him had got out and helped there would have been no traffic jam.
