Military Flying to resume at St Mawgan/Newquay Airport

After handing over the runway and operations to the Cornwall County council in 2008, it seems that a deal has been brokered with the Council to allow the RAF to start flying from the base again.
It is quite interesting as the MOD/RAF still own a large part of the base, but ATC,Runway etc are all owned by the Council.
Tucanos, Hawks and Tornados could all be using the base. Initially it is only for a two month period but could continue.
FRADU Hawks are to locate here for a while this summer from Culdrose whilst the runway is being resurfaced there.
Seems like a good move seeing Ryanair have pulled out and Air Southwest have cut back on their flights.

I wonder they'll get a good deal on the landing fees - one of our Yak group has a house practically next door to St Mawgan, and there are plans afoot for a radial fly-out down there for a bit of a jolly later in the summer, but last time I looked the landing and parking fees I was thinking Perranporth might be a better bet.
