How much are cars worth for scrap these days?

A few years ago scrap metal prices were high, but what is a typical scrap car worth these days? I have dented E36 shell with a duff engine, minus the trim/interior/wheels etc taking up space in my garage, can I get someone to pay me and take it off my hands??

I was offered £130 for my old Volvo 440 snotter`from 'Pull A Part' about six months ago.

Was fair enough, but I ended up giving it away to someone who needed an engine.

I weighed in acomplete E36, around 5weeks ago, got £177.

Im sure there are many companies willing to take it off your hands, one local to me pays £100 for small cars, £125 for medium, and £150 for large.

Basically £100/ton plus bits for any extras like battery, alloys, hifi etc.
