Win 98

For some reason when I right click in Explorer I no longer have an option to make a new folder/shortcut. Any ideas what has happened as I'm stumped. Any help Much appreciated.

Not sure about a right click on Explorer.
But IIRC (now on XP) left click Explorer to open and right click on file, New, this should give you the option to create a new folder.

Hope this helps.

Do you mean you have the new group but only documents in it, no folder and shortcut items?

That context menu is I think controlled by registry entries. You just need to find which ones.

The actual New option is gone and the whole box is shorter in height. Its as if admin rights have come into play not allowing me to create new things, weird I am the only user so cant be that. All the other options are there like copy paste etc, just no New.
