Shed is stuck. Faulty alternator. If I charge battery from another car, will it charge? I need to go about 1.5 miles. How long to charge? Cheers.

Making many assumptions, 15 mins.

Try to use minimal lights /fan etc.

Start your car 5 mins prior to cable removal.

Use a donor vehicle with a meaty alternator at a fast tickover.

ETA Try and pick a route with minimal stop starts.

A mile and a half will be possible. Obviously turn off everything electrical.

Thanks guys. Battery didn't seem to be taking the charge, changed battery to one with charge and still wouldn't start. I've abandoned it now - pi55ing down here and can't be bothered.
