Styling - Coming of Age
Discussion
To me the Jaguar XJ40 has always looked a bit dull, square, boring and ugly. Until the last few weeks where it's started to look absolutely brilliant.

I guess it's the moment a car goes from being deeply unstylish to being in vogue again.
Any other cars that are starting to come into vintage?

I keep looking at white E30 325 convertibles for a couple of grand and thinking I should get one, just a weird sort of urge that's crept up on me the last few years...I'm pretty sure I'll end up with one following a night a the pub and a session with ebay soon.
Saw a K reg 325i conv go through at BCA Bedford last week, 60k miles but looked a bit ropey, solid dark blue paint too. Made £1650 +fees so I think it's safe to say they're a car on the up. Seen a couple in the classifieds here for over £10k!!stewjohnst said:

The E30 Touring looks as close to right as you can get I think.I opened the thread and thought 'hey that picture looks familiar'
I've always liked the styling of the XJ40 - as long as it has round headlamps. For a long time I felt like I was the only person who felt this way but a few people are coming out of the woodwork and declaring their love for the 1980s-90s Jaguar.
The previous generation BMW 5-series has grown on me. When it was new I thought it was horrible but now I think it is quite nicely proportioned although the details let it down a little.
Agree with the person who said the BMW E30 3-series touring looks near perfect. Somehow it just does!
