Going to look at getting a new car later this year with a budget of £8k max, and considering the 4 cars in the title, just wondered what peoples choice would be and why?

WRX PPP has a drink problem. Mazda 6 MPS has a weight problem. The other two have a traction problem.

Out of those, the 6 MPS is the best all rounder IMHO, closely followed by the Scoob, then the 3 MPS, then the VAG rubbish thumbup.

Scoob as the best drivers car; fantastic turn-in, traction - confidence inspiring.

Forget everything else, in that list, but the Impreza. If you can afford the Scooby then get it, dynamically far superior the others listed there. For 8K you wll get a good STI, which will give just as good mpg as those other cars, and far more driving pleasure. The others are good no doubt, the Impreza is a legend for good reason, try one.
