Don't know anything about the subject unfortunately, but your Chimaera is exactly the same as mine! 1998, 450 Midnight Blue! what interior do you have?
I'm sure you could get lots of people offering to excercise it for you, i guess you would be best to get someone you know to do it or someone you trust as if something expensive needed doing it could get awkward! Servicing and insurance etc should be straightforward but its just what happens if something major needs doing... When i have been away for 4-6 weeks before i got my dad to take it for a run every couple of weeks as i didnt want it standing there.

Have a possible move to Asia in about a year or two and was told it would be very costly to take car [import duties,tax etc,] but after lots of research and questions i think i've found a back door in. I come from the school of thought that anythings possible, I know there a Griff in the Phillippines

I sold my Tuscan S to my Dad, because I couldn't justify the costs of exporting it to Sydney. Really miss it now, especially considering the weather here is so bloody fantastic!
Who knows, he may be willing to sell it back to me when I return in a few years (providing he keeps hold of it).

Blue Full Leather.
According to the label the colour is actually Midnight Blue 'Pearl' !
Sounds the same! - Mine is Blue full leather and blue carpets with stainless steel dash. Think mine is a Porsche Colour Midnight Blue with metallic bits in.Blue Full Leather.

I think its about £900 to actually ship it and the same again at least for import duty and taxes.Some mods will need doing as well I believe like rear brake lights needing to raised.
It will be worth up to 3 times what it is in the UK though.
When I was in Sydney in October I saw a Chim advertised for $60 Au dollars £40k so it is worth it.
I didn't look into it too much, because it turned out I hadn't owned the car long enough for it to be classified as a personal import (need proof of minimum 12 months ownership AND usage). However, I got so far to find out it cost someone close to GBP 10,000 to get a T350 over here. I believe one of the main costs is the tax on the marketable value of the car.
I stubbled across a classic car garage in North Sydney at the weekend and they had a Chim 400 up for $65k, a tatty T350 up at $99,500 and a stone chipped to buggery Tamora for close to $70k. However, judging by the amount of time TVRs remain on www.usedcarsales.com.au suggests TVRs are very specialised. Some have been on for over a year, but still asking crazy money!

Thanks for the info lads. We're half thinking about making the move next year as the wife is in one of the 'required' professions and wasn't sure what to do with the car. Think I'd probs sell the Tuscan and revert back to a chim or poss a griff as reckon it would be easier from a maintainance point of view..
