My guess would be a manager desperate for a reason to offload a ste member of staff.

Half the time the only way you can get rid of a crap employee is to wait and hope they say or do something that you can get them out on.

I'm sure that this is behind most of these stories of 'shock horror'.

I agree its silly however imagine it was a male nurse on top of a female.

He would not have been reinstated and probably been put on the sex offenders list

It's sad that a joke can lead to such things. It may have been inapropriate, but she was hardly suggesting anything beyond comedy.

Pesty is speaking from experience. Why do you think his name is Pesty? It was SexPesty but it raised too many eyebrows.

Can't say I managed to get through the fine details of that case, as the link to Jennifer Aniston testing some vibrating nipple pads assisted by a lesbian TV talkshow host provided an effective diversion. Fascinating stuff.

yes

I'm an ex-nurse. There's more to the story than this.

In any case, when there's a patient 'in status', things can get very serious very quickly. You can imagine how those staff trying to get the diazepam in a moving target don't really need a mouthy nurse getting all 'Carry-On'.

In a serious time-limited situation you shut-up and get the job done first, and have a giggle off the ward after.
