Morning Chaps
I have never owned a Merc and have the chance of buying a T reg 300TD. It has 120,000 mile on the clock and has two owners, the second one i know personaly, my bosses wife.
What should I be looking for whilst inspecting the car and as I have a 110 mile round journey to work each day of mixed M/way and A roads what would I expect to see in MPG. It looks a great car with no rust on the front wings and well looked after. I think it is a basic version, no leather.
Thanks for any advice.
Barrie
P.S. How much do you think I should offer for it.

servicing is more important than mileage
offer what you feel it is worth.

Look for rust everywhere - under the door seals, everywhere on every panel, wheelarch lips, roof, etc. The front crossmember rusts away and is a big job to replace. The front spring cups drop off but they're evidently easy to replace

Assuming it's a turbodiesel that's one of the most reliable Mercedes ever made in terms of warranty claims. It does have a rust issue, however
