We're very excited to announce that one of the additions to this year's PistonFest is the on site radio facility. We've just had word from OFCOM that our licence application has been granted and pending the designation of a frequency we'll be ready to broadcast.
This year's event kicks off on Friday (an extra night for all campers over last year) and PistonHeads FM will be broadcasting from the very start with a mixture of music, chat, interviews, competitions and some very special features to both entertain and involve everyone at the show. A dedicated team of PHers has been working hard on the content for some time now and we're very excited about what we plan to bring you.
Throughout the weekend PistonHeads.FM will keep everyone informed of the events taking place both on the drag strip and the activities we've got planned for PHers including the Scrapheap Challenge, PistonHead's very own Daz Challenge (don't ask!), Bungee jumping, Microlites, Auctions and the jet flight (
More on that later).
You will of course be able to pick up the station on your car radios and via the PA system around the main marquee/bar but in addition the first 1,000 people through the gate will get a personal PistonHeads FM radio complete with batteries and earphones!
Work continues on making PF2004 bigger and better!
