Funnily enough I looked up an amazing Character I had the pleasure to meet some years ago now, and sad to say discovered he had passed on.

Initially I knew him from driving with him from the North East to London and back in my Boss' 540 BM for us to go and punt to LFT a Environment Oil Change machine we thought would save the world !.

Harry was a wonderful guy with an unassuming gait, and among things that crept in to conversations we had, were nuggets of his life such as :

been part of the boys that went over the wall with just a knife bringing the scientists fro the East over to the West
Taught the guys at Augusta how to treat the greens for Moss, and donated a laboratory and created the Air Conditioning system in place on something like 13 of the Greens
was insrumental in the creation of Fluoride in Toothpaste
Had a White House pass (he always said that and buck or two would always et you a beer smile )
Been on C-span 3 times.
(obviously a bit of a secret squirrel too !)
Oh and all the things in his Obit.

RIP Harry
One of life's "cool moments", huh? smile

The Kaman HH-43 Husky.

They were used by the USAF in the 1960s and early 70s as airfield fire fighter and rescue craft. They could carry an underslung load of fire retardent.
