Might aswell make a massive advertising board saying 'come to England, get pregnant and avoid the authorities for 9 months and your guaranteed to be allowed to stay'.

Hmm, good business opportunity there actually :P

Father married to someone else. Lives on disability benefit with parents and his wife and is reported to drink a great deal.

She applied for asylum and was turned down but using appeals etc managed to blag another year. Then get this, applies twice more for asylum using false names and nationalities. Action taken - zero.

It's become a human rights case because it's taken 13 bleeding years to throw this scum out of the country rather than implementing what the court decided in 1997.

Why the fk wasn't she slung out on her ear immediately she lost the first appeal in 1998?
Why wasn't she locked up for fraudulent asylum claims?
How the hell can it take ten years to get a judgement on a HR case when it is bloody obvious that delay changes circumstances?

And more so why hasn't anyone adminstered a bolt to the temple of the loser father?

The rest of the world must be laughing their asses off at us. Essentially any asylum seeker who has children with a British citizen is now free to stay indefinitely.

if the home office sought to remove these failed asylum seekers/overstayer as soon as they became appeal rights exhausted this situation would not be as common as it is now..

The Tories wanted to scrap the HRA and replace it with a 'British bill of rights' but Clegg and the Lib Dems would not have it.

Not just asylum seekers.

Non EU national marrys British citizen in the UK, said person gets 2 years Further Leave to Remain. At the end of this they have to prove their relationship, learn to speak English and pass Life in UK test to qualify for Indefinate Leave to Remain (stay forever).

However, if they have a child and that child has UK citizenship then the above matters little. Even if they divorce the mother is always allowed to stay for the "sake" of the child even if they were only together for a year or so.

Our laws are such a joke.
