Ok..here is a little bit of info from an Indian
Bollywood is the Hindi language film industry based out of Bombay (I prefer the old name a bit classier)
Like wise every state in india has a small film industry for their own regional languages.
Tamil is a language from one of the souther states and it is big budget stuff down there. This particular movie was made in Tamil and Hindi at the same time with a world wide release on Hollywood scale and glitz..mega budget!!!
The lead actor...I think he is 65 or so but he is our own superman!!! All of his movies for the past 30 odd years are the same type....small story line with mega budget fantasy scenes for the common poor indian to be stunned! Brilliant camera and editing work to make him look like superman! His name is Rajni. He is a demi God down that part of the world.
If you do get his movies subtitled it is a bit of a laugh...its brilliant! His movies are huge hits in Japan!!! Even indians cant figure out how...but I think the Japs love the superhuman stunts and mannerisms. eg.(in one of his older movies...he chucks a cig up in the air...shoots a gun...and catches a lit cig in his mouth!!!)
My all time favourite is the movie in which he takes his sunglasses off says a dialogue and puts his glasses back on..but the way he puts it back on is ...lets say infectious!!!
Check this out for a dialogue..Rajni plays a old time gangsta living the life of a straight and narrow guy in a new town...one occassion forces him to become his old self again ...gangsta name BAASHA...lol..
Dialogue to bad guys: When Baasha says something once...its is like it has been said 100 times!!! lol..you should hear the crowds going bezerk for it! pure fantasy stuff!

she's no priyanka chopra. aishwarya is bland. And its got Aishwarya Rai in it, so at least there's some quality eye candy ....
for the amount it has cost to make its profits arent as high as they hoped should i say.

And after 3 years working for an Indian company, would have thought I would have finally got used to Indian names. I've failed.
