Yep, I watched the Knopfler night on Friday. Brilliant guitarist, there is no doubt about that, but I thought the programme was a bit flat. Nothing I can really put my finger on, but it didn't help when they would change versions part way through tracks and it lacked sparkle. It is sch a shame Mark decided to go all "serious artist" so soon, but I guess Calling Elvis did feel like the end of an era. Alchemy Live was the first tape I heard on a decent player with good bins on. Even now I can kinda "feel" the intro. I remember thinking "oh this is going to be amazing" and I wasn't wrong.

Telegraph Road is one track that I try to make sure is available in any car I am driving. Awesome guitar-lead music, just need to keep an eye on the speedo towards the end

Brings back some good memories. Such a modest guy by rock musician standards.
