Yes i know its been done to death but as my renewal is due just thought a more localised approach may help. Has anyone got any cheap insurers hidden away getting quotes between £750 and £1100 for 97 chim 500 37 yrs old full no claims PNCD 7000 miles per year or is this what to expect

Sunninghill is where I go so that I have trackday cover. £650 last year. Try www.confused.com Apparently they are quoting low at this time.

bloody hell they quoted me £1034 last year still waiting to speak to them this year. Are you an old codger or 1000 miles a year type. Ifeel as though i'm getting my pants pulled down here

SunningHill for me too. 820 including buisness use and trackday cover iirc. Classic Line did give me a cheaper quote, but for limited milage and no buisness use. Give both a try if you are willing to limit the milage.

I've got 10 years on you but that won't make any difference. I have a limit of 6kpa and have the car declared as a 'second car' and garaged. To have it as a second car you only need to be named on another policy.

This thread has made me realise I've had no insurance for a month

Just had a quote from Tesco: £559.65

34yrs old, Cerbera 4.2, no accidents claims or convictions.

Just waiting for Sunninghill to get back to me to see if they can beat it. Somehow I doubt it.

P.S. I now don't need trackday cover as the car is far too noisy - 112dB. Even with the cats in it was 104dB.

Sounds about right Lizard lane is the way I go after getting an Indian curry and it's perfect for opening it up, but not too much that I spill the curry

hijack

Richard at HHC had the db meter on mine a couple of weeks ago. 107db and it still has the cats. One went past that he had just removed the cats on and he said it was 119db.
