Good times,

But I would tone it down a little to include those who have been in employment for more than 16 hours for a continuous period of at least 6months in the last 24 months.

That way those who have just fallen on hard times don’t get mixed in with the workshy.

Needs to be very carefully drafted but the principle is sound.

Never going to happen. Even if they did try it the number of people that come before employed/unemployed would fill 99% of council homes.

It is. Now all we need is for them to be not given to any little Charlene/Tracey/Vicki/Kylie/Becca or Peaches who gets up the duff from a quickie with Darren/Gary/Kev/Bazza or Chas behind Cinders on a Saturday night. He will, of course then disappear for nine months by declaring "its nuffink to do with me, you slag!" before working out that if he moves in with but doesn't tell anyone he can save himself a great deal of dosh. She will take him back as "I'm the only one who understands him, ain't I," while he continues to spread STDs round all her mates before getting her up the duff again. Then if things get too tough he'll knock one of her mates up and bugger off to hers so the cycle can begin again. All the time claiming disability and selling knock off DVDs down the market on a Saturday & up the boot fairs on a Sunday.

Great Britain 2011, folks.

A guy at my work was trying to get a council flat after he became stuck in alot of debt.

They refused to put him on the list because basically he was working.

Something tells me that narrative just might not conform to Town Hall political correctness bibles. oops can't say bible

And why should it.

After more than a decade of bankrupt Liarbore ideology that shafted the country, we get to hear a shoulder chip whine that this is based on ideology...suck it up, lefty.

Still it's not in place yet and there's plenty of time for lots of yooman roits.

Why?
"Social engineering" might work in the opposite way to the current perceived way.

It might.

Possibly, 'underlings' - as patronised by the likes of zakelwe while supping another latté over a macbook resting on yesterday's Guardian - might be more motivated to get a job than sit around sponging off taxpayers as a lifestyle choice?

Heaven forbid. Think of the childwen and the preservation of shoulder chips.

Mojooo is correct. So you have some of these turn up,they do not want to be there let alone put in a good days work with commitment, a few weeks of these slackers messing everything up & you can easily lose a lot of good customers & work. Ask some of the guys here who have small business's , OK take some of the guys on here who do say paint correction work, it takes them an awful long time to get recognised & a solid "name " for themselves & just 1 or 2 problems to ruin it all!

These work shy wont care, they just leave. As for losing there house most of them are youngish guys who live in between there "Mums" or which ever "Local girl" has a vacant bed so they have no house/flat to lose. I speak from the experience's of my boys small company, almost exactly what I have described has set them back on more than one occasion with agency staff, so as I am "semi- retired" able to I fill in if they have a staff shortage. PK its a "Good" headline but its nonsense.

We care far too much for the workshy and breeders and they will never change
while they are looked after and encoraged by our over generous welfare system, Why should we support these useless people, and at the same time have immigrants doing the mundane but usefull jobs then taking the money out of the country
Make work pay, cut benifits .. then they will suddenly find themselves employable.....this housing idea is a good start
