Just had a listen.
No wonder he didn't want to give us a Referendum.

He now thinks he is the Champion of EU single market!
One journo said he even sounded like Jacques Delors.

Cameron added that he, yes, 'HE', would be producing a:
Specific plan for growth for Europe.
I hope he finds EU enthusiasts for his latest choppychangie agenda... rolleyes

And he was adamant he's got no plan B for the UK, we are 'now' in for the 'long' haul.
What about plan B for EU? Are we looking at the future President of Europe?

And what did he have for my business?
Cut all the red tape, allow me to employ more people with fewer, if no, restrictions.
Yeah, that's all good...
Ahh, wait a mo.
1. Banks still won't lend.
2. You will be putting thousands out of work, which means less demand = I sell less.
Yeah, that stacks up!

Ahh, I see.
That's why you want to have no restrictions on me sacking those new employees.
Got it!
Up goes employment figs.
Then up goes unemployment figs. A sort of 'boom and bust'. Have I heard that somewhere before?

I laughed when he added that Europe (he really has become a Europhile! or was he one all the time?) can compete with...
'the juggernaut of authoritarian capitalism'
I think he means China.

Compete with China? Jeezus. Fool! rolleyes

He might as well have been addressing DavRos!

See you at the local polling booth in 15 months.

Not at all, this lot will implode. The signs are there already, and so soon.

Reopen this thread in 12 months.

Even I, with my rightish-wing tendencies, get sick of the constant slavering support for Maggie's no.1 disciple on here.

I thought the alliance was a good thing, I now think they are not making things any better.

It'll implode before full term.

Our only interest in the EU from the very start has been the single market all the other aspects of the EU such as the CAP and CFP and further intergration have been prices for that membership.

The rest of the EU will never agree to that.

I think the coalition will cling on, but this year's going to get increasingly stty, and who knows what's going to happen beyond that.

In case anyone is confused about politics in this country, it works like this, a party (or in this case two parties) form a government and as long as they command a decent majority, then they can choose to stay in power for a full five years.. The news banging on about 'political damage' is just the political media trying to make what they do sound important. It isn't, not until election year.

The only way this government will end before full term is if those sitting LibDem MPs decide they don't like being in power anyone, and decide to vote against the governemnt. Yeah, like that's going to happen rofl

I would agree

It is neither the interests of the Conservatives or the Lib Dems to have an early election, so why should one occur?

The coalition had better cling on and then Tories remain in power.

If those Labour fktards get another turn at power then this country will be classed as 3rd world by 2020.

The coalition is'nt improving things at the moment but they have only been in power a short time. They have to remove the Labour cancer first before they can improve things.

Blair and Brown should be behind bars for what they did to this country, but mindless pricks will still vote Labour in the future.

Many of those 'mindless pricks' would have been far worse off if it were not for Blair/Brown. Many really struggled before the minimum wage and cold weather allowances.

I'm not in that situation, and I certianly harbour enough haterd for Brown and Blair, but they looked after some disadvantaged in our society. Every cloud, and all that...

If there are one group who can be relied upon to even consider offering themselves up as sacrificial lambs for a damn good slaughtering the Lib Dems would be that group!

Get this right - the Common Market is great. Customs union and mutual recognition of regulatory standards makes it much easier for British companies to sell into Europe.
That's fine.

What's not fine is regulations on cucumber straightness, a common foreign policy, paying billions to Frenchmen so they can make butter to throw away while Africa starves, a bureaucracy in Brussels AND Strasbourg just because the French said so, a common currency that doesn't work, being forced to give all of our fish to the Spaniards, forced to sell all of our infrastructure while the rest of Europe protects theirs, and so on.

I have been thinking about this a lot today and have come to the conclusion david is pro euro superstate and working toqrds that goal.

Note a few simple factors.

He has redusced our sea and air defences by a huge margin (nimrod, harriers, bases being closed left right and centre our aircraft carrier scrapped etc) meaning we are now reliant on our euro neighbours for defence.

Note that even though we are just coming out of a recession vat has gone up massively AND there has been an increase times two on fuel with a third on the way (or have i got one too many there???) making everything much more expensive due to higher haulage costs and causing job losses and company closures just as we come out of a recession.

Thereby screwing and weakening the economy since at the moment we are still too strong to join the euro.
The way to increase growth is to lower costs by lowering goods costs (fuel) and give people more money to spend so there is more in circulation(lower fuel duty costs) which in turn will bring in more revenue.

He also promised to distance the uk from any further eu interference with referendums etc on any eu policy attempts now gone back on his word.

Basically ladies and gents we ware fked as far as i see it. He lied we bought it.

Which is what those of us who voted upon this thought it was only about.
The rest we have have been denied a vote upon.
Why?
Don't answer, I know.
