Installed a new broadband line yesterday. A FTTP Cable line (fibre to the premesis)

50MB service.



The ping time has since inproved a little to 9m/s, and the download increased to 48.33mb/s this makes an incredible difference with call of duty, I shoot, they die instantly, none of this shoot.............oh whas that a hit, oh, i'm dead!

See you all before you see me...

All this for a fiver more that I was paying before.

It's not superfast, but is better than the 0.25 I was getting previously!

Yeh dissapointing upload. I guess with that high a download rate they have capped your upload to 1.5mb as it should in theory be capable of much higher.

Im on VM's 10Mb/1Mb package and am pretty much bang on speed wise.

Pings have always been really good, im just too tight to spend on a faster package to see if pings get any lower with the higher capacity i doubt it though.

I was going to go for that deal but forgot to pursue it. An extra Fiver you say (+ £50 installation if I remember correctly), hmmm would the 50mb give me a quicker Ping?

You should be getting better than that. Ask them to check your latency (I think it's called that).
