I got my car valeted recently and they failed to fix the mats down again, so my brief dab of WOT this morning went on longer than anticipatedeek I got on the brake and clutch immediately so no harm done but it did bring home what being a passenger would be like when the full 400 bhp gets unleashed in second gearhehe

I had a similar thing when the garage serviced my car. They didn't fix the mat to the velcro on the carpet and it slid right over the pedals. It didn't cause any problems, but I did spot it just before I'd left their car park.

Our leased Mazda came from ING with mats that tucked neatly over the accelerator when you pushed it to the floor.

I briefly considered being American when it happened, and crashing into something solid. Then I realised the car didn't actually have enough power to do enough damage to itself to prove that it had been in an accident.

In the end I checked the time, unhooked the throttle pedal from the matt and took another sip of coffee before changing up to third.

Stupid stupid decision by the lease company.
