As long as the battery is in good condition, then shouldnt be a problem. I jumped started my 4.5 Cerbera from my Toyota Aygo a number of times without issue.

Should be fine if you stick plenty of revs on the 1.0L. Alternatively, tow start it?

Should be fine you are only transferring power from one electrical system to another
just give the flat one a little time to build up some charge to minimise the load
across the leads.

Leave the leads connected with the little car on a fast idle for a few minutes before attempting to start the dead car. This will give the flat battery a chance of ingesting some amps from the donor car before trying to draw a gazzillion down the jump leads.

Bit of a strange topic really, because all its down to is the battery of the car? Essentially you can just unbolt the battery from the car and jumpstart any 12v car from it. Provided the battery is man enough for the job....

Often jump start tractors from cars like 1.0 clios etc..... doesnt matter, provided the battery is up to the job.

Okay. Thanks. Was mildly concerned but seems it should be fine.

To convert the Thread... What is the largest thing you have jumpstarted with the smallest then?

I started a Saturn V off a watch battery.

The above may be a lie.
