Afternoon all

payday is looming and fancy some more dvd's, abit fed up with horror so fancied some good action movies and could do with a few more to my collection, trouble is after a quick look on amazon nothing really seemed to take my my fancy so could do with being recommened some titles. i know using the word action to describe a film genre is abit 'loose' but the sort of films i like in the genre are:
Heat
Training day
Man on fire
Taken
Se7en
Bourne(all 3)
Felon

12 monkeys gets a bit weird in places. If you can stand the cheese, the transporter films with jason statham are action filled, plus he has some nice cars too(bmw 735i, and an audi 6.0 w12 a8 in 2 and 3)

Not all out action, but plenty of it.

It is a wonderful film in it's own right and well worth watching even if it is not quite as hardcore as some of the other films mentioned.

Indeed.

POTENTIAL SPOILERS>>>

- As is the opening scene with the fat guy
- As is the drugs raid on the family
- As is the rooftop sniper scene
- As is Oldman in the police toilets
- As is Old Tony ("nobody knocks off Old Tony")

Love that film.

Might get shot down here but I really enjoyed Shooter.

Most people have seen them but the 3xBourne films and Green Zone.

yeah, they are very cheesy, but there arent many films about that have more action in them tbh. It's like lots of films, you have to suspend belief in whats real and what isnt, and just enjoy. But fair enough, if you didnt like what you saw

Some left field ones:

Running Scared (2006)
The Machine Girl (2008)
Ip Man (2008)
Crank (2006)
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005)
The Boondock Saints (1999)
Battle Royale (2000)
Blood Diamond (2006)
Lord of War (2005)

Crank is probably the only one that is an out-and-out action film though. The Machine Girl is a totally mental Japanese gorefest.

For TV series - Band of Brothers, 24, Generation Kill
