I use them as an alternative to sugar in tea & coffee.

I might consume 1 cup of coffee and a 4 teas a day.

Is 5 sweeteners too much per day.

I am using Canderel at the moment.

I use canderel innmy coffee. I'd like to give up but it tastes urghh without.

Also, if I'm anywhere apart from my house and I get offered coffee and ask for "sweeteners" its like when you enter a pub and say "I'll have a babysham", it's embarrassing.

(so I've heard)

I wonder about this as well. I swapped sugar for sweetener and it has definitely contributed to a slow weightloss.

However, I feel like sugar in a way is healthier as it is natural and your body can process it.

I guess as mentioned above, to give up coffee for a while and hopefully I won't need sugar or sweetener in it (I only have it in my coffee).

5 sweeteners is fine. This will total 0 calories.

A teaspoon of sugar is approx 20 cals, and a teaspoon of Canderel 2 cals.

Probably. Alongside eating processed food, running in the street, walking in the street, drinking tap water, drinking spring water, wearing polyester, using a PC, using a mobile phone, sitting in the sun, building sandcastles at Chernobyl etc etc.

nb not all of the above is true. Probably.
