I'm interested to see how hard pistonheaders drive on the public road, when out for a drive or having some fun? My scale may not be the same as everyone's, but it should give a bench mark.
I used to drive at 8 or 9/10. But found i would occasional slip into (or past) 10/10th. I had a crash which opened my eyes a bit, and now rarely push past 7/10ths.

5/10ths all the time really. Where live there are too many pedestrians, buses etc to hit if you were to drive spiritedly. And if i go out towards derbyshire/the peak district, then i run the risk of meeting someone else coming the other way driving at 10/10ths. Besides, you cant really hoon in a 1700kg 110bhp s

Is your C4 really 1700kg? I know modern cars get portlier every generation, but I would expect large executive cars and off-roaders to weigh around that much and more, not a family hatchback.

I would hope that folk going beyond 7/10ths on a PUBLC road
get rogered by the police.
Save the heroics for the track.
Thanks Mum, but I'll drive however I want to.get rogered by the police.

If you're driving a 1.1 Peugeot 106 then you could probably drive it at 10/10ths on suitable roads without getting into trouble. If you've got an M5 then anything beyond about 3/10 is going to see you get regular attention.
