Driving west along the M4 last night crawling past the usual smashed up numpty carriers on the hard shoulder ("It was wet, it's dark, I didn't see him brake, I'm stupid, officer") I saw a sign telling me I should exit at junction 11 for "The Oracle".

To my mind, The Oracle is either the clever old lady with the spoon bending kids in The Matrix, or some sort of BBC information service from the 80s [?]. If it's the former, then it's probably worth a visit next time I'm going that way as I'd like to know if I'm "The One".

You'll probably just tell me it's something boring like a roundabout in Milton Keynes, but someone please tell me what it is!

It's a shopping centre / pedestrian development type thing in the centre of Reading. It's ok as such things go.

BTW if you visit the woman from the Matrix, I think she'd tell you (in a roundabout way of course)that you are in fact the 'ecnob'

Take my advice don't go down there. You come across a great white concrete tower filled with mice and men, working on the solution to life, the universe and all that. R...

Are yes, the Oracle - know it well. That shopping centre is 2 years worth of my life!!! (so don't say anything nasty about it!! ). I was one of the electrical design engineers who worked on it .

Sorry, had to put this in.

I'll be off then!

Oracle was ITV's, not BBC's. God! how sad is knowing that!
