1 yr old Koni, oil every were !
Discussion
The front near side (passenger side) Koni on my 944 is leaking heavily. I currently run standard springs but the wheel and tyre combo is smaller than standard, still the 15" wheel but only a 50 profile tyre rather than the usual 60.
Now I apreciate that the smaller wheel will probably oscilate (sp) more over bumpier roads than the standard size wheel/tyre but will the size difference be enough to prematurley age the damper ?
Would a stiffer spring lesson the work rate on the damper, ie lesson the movement ?

Sorry for not answering your question, but the same happened to a friend on his '88 Lux (with shorter & stiffer Eibach springs). He got both the front struts replaced under warranty as they were supposedly badly manufactured.
Fitting stiffer springs will reduce the work rate of the damper. At least it did on my S2, as I drove it with the stock springs (pink dots, rate 23.8 N/mm) for about year before switching to 968 CS springs (blue dots, rate 28 N/mm).
