Hi

I'm on the look out for a usb GPS receiver to plug into my lap top, so I can configure autoroute 2004 to act as satnav for me.

I'm sort of set on getting the royaltek sapphire

But i could do with some suggestions as to the best places to buy from.

as mentioned earlier, i'll be using it with MS autoroute and also infomap Navigator.

thanks in advance

I've check dozens of places and they're all pretty much the same price.

There's a Haicom version a few quid cheaper but I don't think it's as good.

Thanks for the quick response m8

I'd looked at the haicom website and it says that it's not recommended for usuage with windoze XP, so it's a none runner.

The Sapphire looks to be about the best of them and if i ever go PDA, i can just swap a cable and be done with it

Morning!!!

I've had a chat with "the boys" and they inform me that there is a company selling GPS receivers on Ebay..

Haven't got the link i'm afraid,so a little search should bring it up!

Thanks for the info slinksport

timing isn't an issue because i've been out and about all day anyway.

I'll have a look around on ebay, but i'm a little uneasy about buying from there for some reason

by all accounts, it's actually a company that sells via ebay.. not just some fly-by-night trader..

I bought a GPS mouse from Japan for my Dad about 8-9 months ago off Ebay. Cost 40 odd quid. There were loads of them so shouldnt be a problem picking one up.
