Had my Tuscan S in reflex purple for a week now - can't stop grinning and talking to peeps who just come up and talk to you. wow !!.

Couple of things I'm a tad concerned about. I get diagnostic codes C & K appearing on an irregular basis when started. Seached the forum and it appears these relate to water level & fuel level sensors. Is this indicative that these need replacing ?

When starting, it's like the battery is nearly flat and the car wheezes into life - but not all the time. e.g car wheezes into life, turn off, car starts normally - but not repeatable !!! While the car is wheezing into live the display show low battery voltage ( approx 6 - 7 V - although before it shows 13.8 V and after 14.2V ) . Whaddya reckon just trash the battery and see ?

Is it normal for the engine to sound a bit tappity at idle - nothing harsh - just a bit "metallic" if you know what I mean....

Anyway gotta go get some milk so I may be a while while I go enjoy the beast a bit more

Love it :-)

I know mines a Tamora, but all the symptoms you've described also happen with my Tamora,,, I too have been worried about the tappety sound of the engine, and the random warnings on the LCD when it's started up, dies,, then starts up again fine!!
Mines going in for it's 12K service tomorrow, so hopefully all my worries will be put to rest!!!

Sounds like you battery is on the way out as it is not producing enough cold cranks amps & just sinking the voltage down best get it replaced, they only last about three years in a Tuscan due to being right next to the catalytic converters. When I had mine changed the battery case was destorted by the heat.

Speed six engines are naturally quiet "tapperty" but dont forget to check the fluid levels regually & enjoy it. I am still when I drive it after nearly four years of ownership.

There's an article in the Lancet about a new mental condition called GP or Grinning Paranoia where the patient can't help grinning and worrying at the same time - all Speed Six owners develope it apparently.

I've had that stupid grin for years now, I hope it never ever wears off, it's not just the Tuscan, but all TVR'S seem to have that uniqueness about them. People will stop and stare, 99.9% of comments have all been good.
So hopefully we should all have the uninterupted pleasure that we deserve when buying these machines.

Best Regards,

James Sim.
