Nitrac Brake Discs

Hi there, has anybody used these or had any experience with them?

Keep warping brake discs on my Mazda 3 MPS and been told these are the best thing since sliced bread for using on trackdays as they don't get as hot as normal discs. Just wanted to hear some opinions from people before forking out for them?

how many pad types have you tried? stoptech and carbone lorraine are supposed to make some fantastic pads. i'd have thought your mps braking system is mechanically well up to track use, with a good flush of fluid and stick something like:

in, with a wet boiling point of almost 200c that looks pretty damn good. if you've just put new discs on, get them machined to take off the pad deposits ad see how that goes

Hi mate, I have only used Ferodo DS2500's. Have used them for my past 2 cars as they are superb and I don't see any need to change...my brake setup is Ferodo DS2500's, Braided Lines, 5.1 Fluid & standard discs. The standard discs are starting to crack where they are so warped otherwise I would have got them skimmed! The Nitrac discs are £314 delivered, which for my car is cheap as usually everything needs imported as nobody really modifies them over here...they are more than what the Nitrac ones normally are as they would be specially made as he's never done them before so doesn't have them on the shelf!
how much track time do the oem discs last until they start fracturing(sp?) ?
£300 odd is fairly expensive, not horrific if they last. i assume only for the fronts? have you googled about for other peoples opinions on these discs and how long they lasted/ whether they lasted?
how much would you be looking at from other manufacturers for grooved ones?
i'd avoid ebc grooved+dimpled like the plague - seen them fail pretty spectacularly on track

I have been helping Graham with the search for a set of brake discs and i have to say I only turn up at dead ends in this country for supply of front 'Sport' discs. Most of the stuff is from the States as not many people modify or use their MPS on track or use it hard in the UK.
I have used the cryo process for treating a set of conrods i used to build my Fiesta RST 10 years ago. They took loads of abuse and neve shot them selfs through the block so i can say the process works well. Thats why i put Graham on to this company to see if they can supply discs for his needs. I have never used the brake discs before so i guees he's just trying to see if any other performance car owner has used or has any imput on how well they hold up.
Anyway enough with the gassing hope you get a result with this supplier.

I've only done 1 trackday but a fair few weekends abuse, had them glowing with no effort at all. The Ferodos are just too much for them to cope with. To me that's cheap, to import a set of 'average' discs from the States, you are looking at £400, Hi Spec want £700 for floating bells & discs. Yeah it's only for the fronts! I haven't tried googling but I will try that now.

There's something very badly wrong with your car here. Discs that are hardly worn shouldn't show any signs of warping or cracking, even after quite a few track days. You need to talk to your supplier/manufacturer.( Just in case you've found a little time now: http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_warped_braked... but you still shouldn't have the cracking issue. )
