What is the Smallest car on the road.

Dur Messerschmitt was 9 ft 4 ins long and 3 ft 4 ins wide it weighed 500 lbs and I could lift either end when parking in tight spaces. Two reasonably strong adults could actually carry the car around if necessary.

Brutsch Mopetta - 5'7" long. Unveiled at Earl's Court in 1956 as the worlds smallest motorcar.
Looks smaller than a C5, anyone know how long one was ?

It can be a one off or production but has to be road legal.

Surely it has to be a car that can carry at least 1 person a couple of hundred miles in say 4 or 5 hours to qualify as a car. The sinclair C5 was just daft and I had a pedal car smaller (and faster ) than that when I was a kid.

The Sinclair C5 isn't a car because you don't need to pay road tax or insurance to use one on the road. I think it's classified as a bicycle.

At first look i thought it was a bike and side car,now that is small!

i saw this thing going through Worthing the other day that must be the smallest car in the world. No idea what it was - took a pic on my mobile so cant post it up here. Was 1 seater and most of the drivetrain was exposed from the rear. Slow as anything crawling up a hill through town and the guy driving it was grinning from ear to ear tooting the most pathetic horn I have heard - hooter style. (no Podie)

Amsterdam is full of some tiny cars, I'm not sure what they are but they drive down cycle lanes and are about half the size of a smart car. I think you can see the drive train on those as well.
