If I had the choice, I'd probably eat oven roasted chopped potato with each and every meal and most days that's exactly what I do. Lightly golden brown, crispy and flavourful.

Last night I boiled my potatoes. frown

I'd read an article in a magazine stating that when cooked in temperatures over a certain figure, the potato produces a carcinogenic called 'Acrylamide'.

Should I really be worried or would I have to be cremating my spuds and eating them by the lorry-load to do any real damage?

Oh, and I can't get my head around this quote..

There is a margin of 900-fold between the dose that gave cancer to 10% of rats and human exposure to acrylamide in the diet
..is that bad.. or good?

As long as you are 900 times bigger than a rat you might be OK.

Everything will make you ill if you have too much or not enough.

In today's Wail, a girl whose mother slathered her with factor 50 sun block every day developed rickets.
