Up and Running - Camberley
Discussion
So after reading the many running threads on here, I have decided to start going for it.
Was recommended a shop called Up and Running in Camberley, just got myself a set of running shoes. She put me on a running machine with a laptop recording it to monitor my posture, gait and general running style with the shoes on and determined the best type (apparently I am a neutral runner - not sure if that is good or bad!
)
Posting this because it is so rare that I recieve anywhere near the level of knowledge, and professional courtesy that this shop offered, especially in this day and age where nobody usually gives a toss, so if anyone is interested and needs the gear and professional advice - go see them
Going to try 2 miles tonight - wish me luck

Just did a 2.5 mile run, in 25 minutes. Not bad for a first attempt if I do say so myself - quite happy with that result!
Wierdest bit was getting going, I kind of walked out my driveway, then stopped and thought "What do I do now... oh yeah, run!"
Had to slow down to a fast walk about 3 or 4 times for a couple of minutes each but other than that, kept the pace up.
As has been said on the other threads, correct shoes are the secret for this, and mine seem perfect.
Going to take a break from exercising tomrrow and go out again wednesday - enjoying it so far
