The Assassins Creed series...
Discussion
i've played the first two - got the brotherhood now...
love them - especially how the second one does the whole historical templar thing and the hidden truth of adam and eve.
Would love to know where the 3rd one is going to be set - rumour has it the setting is Japan though it wouldnt have much to do with the context of templars and what not. 19th Century NY would be good too.

I think another Italian game would be good, but differently to brotherhood, YOU can go to London etc instead of sending assassin recruits there on missions. (I know this is unlikely, think how long it would take to make so many maps)
Or even a modern day one with Desmond as the assassin.

I'm not sure where they're going to go with it next, what happens in Brotherhood makes me think it won't be another animus jobbie, they might have something to justify it though.
I finished the main story a few days ago and I've been finishing off the side mission etc. leftovers. Its been fun, especially the side missions, but I'm not sure if it was as good as 2. Not tried the multiplayer yet, it does look good.

I'm a massive fan of this series. It just gets better and better. Playing through Brotherhood at the mo. Just started to recruit assassin into my brotherhood. The first time I called for help gave me a big grin. I was chasing a bloke who had kidnapped some childs mother. He started to get away so I thought i'd call for help. Ezio gives out a whistle just as the bloke runs past a bale of hay. Out pops my assassin, stabs him in the neck and drags him into the bale. I thought they would just help me chase him down
Great game
Haven't tried the online yet. Is it any good?
I think the next game will be set in Russia, as some of the comics have been set there. Could be wrong though

Some good ideas as to where the next AC will be set on this thread.

Can anyone comment on whether the sequels to the original were any better? I found the first one great for about 4-5 hours but after that it was incredibly tedious as it was the same thing over and over. Do the others do anything differently?
Yes and that's a big yes. Fantastic story, lots of secrets to discover, different weapons to buy, shops you can invest in. And this time you won't be doing the same thing over and over again. Trust me, AC2 and AC Brotherhood are well worth the purchase.
I played brotherhood first (got it for xmas) Loved it, so went and got one and two.
Currently about 3/4 of the way through one, brotherhood (and I'm assuming two) are are massive improvement over the original, movement, free running, weapons and combat are all greatly improved and there's more varied stuff to do in the brotherhood too.
I particularly like the set-piece missions "Leonardos Weapons" in brotherhood, very cool tooling around in a renaisance tank!
I'm hoping for a 19th century one next, with some cool steam-punk weapons!

Is there any DLC for brotherhood?
I ask because I want to get the game as it has currently escaped my collection and was going to hold of if there was going to be a game of the year/ultimate/dlc included version.
Anybody in the know, can't see anything on pre-order..
Thanks and sorry for thread hijack

All the DLC have been free so far. Also if you have it on PS3 their is exclusive DLC. Not sure if the 360 has it's own exclusive DLC.I ask because I want to get the game as it has currently escaped my collection and was going to hold of if there was going to be a game of the year/ultimate/dlc included version.

Assassins creed I think is one if the best created games. And seriously underrated. Cannot wait for the next DLC. the next game seems to be kept extremely private. I have heard rumours from ancient japan to London. Personally after the way brotherhood ended that it will be a modern game with Desmond searching out the temples for pieces of Eden.
