Hi All

I'm currently looking through Youtube for circuit training routines I can do at home.

I need to loose weight, so needs to be a fat burning type. I don't like running but used to do circuits many years ago in a local class, but can't find anything locally now frown

Does anyone have a particular recomendation as there are loads on there.

TIA

There's the "300" one which is loosely based on the film.

Just make your own up from squat thrusts, star jumps, burpees, jogging on the spot, press ups, pull ups, dips, crunches, sit ups etc. I like discovering new ones and dropping old ones that are boring. Certainly saves me going to/paying money for the gym.

Try this one:

Burpee x 30 sec
Star Jump x 30 sec
Split Jump x 30 sec
Burpee x 30 sec
Star Jump x 30 sec
Mountain Climber x 30 sec
Rest x 30 sec
Work up to 5 circuits

If you're unsure about any of the exercises then www.rosstraining.com has some good videos to give you ideas.

Thanks chaps.

I'll try this one out. Had to look up what a Burpee was though

I learnt the mountain climber! I like to do a similar style but you don't put your "higher" foot down. Really works the core. No idea what it's called.

Oh, youtube has loads of exercise routines on it.

I'd add in some more exercises to give a more whole body approach, so press ups, dips etc. Back is the hardest thing to train at home with no equipment. Anywhere you could do chins?

Any combination of exercises in a circuit is good so long as it's hard enough. A full body approach is the best way IMO. So something like..

Star Jumps
Press ups
Squat Jumps
Crunches
Burpees
Chins
Squat thrusts
dips

Also, Animal - 30 seconds on each - man up! 1 minute at least wink

EDIT: Retarded spelling

To make it a bit harder I've started making it 10 burpees (instead of 30 sec), which does take me nearly a minute by the fourth or fifth round - but then I am going belly to the floor when I'm doing them.

I am surprised nobody has picked up on this post. I guess the Health forum gets few of the "regular" PHers.

I hadn't clicked the link, but I appreciate your brining it to my attention. Plus, I work at a gym so perfectly acceptable that I research these exercises in depth.

They will pass comment on the fact that you're studying the exercises with your pants round your ankles, though.

Mate tell you a good DVD box set which I hate to admit it is a good work out, insanity.

Google that should bring up some links, 1 of the lads brought it into work and i've used it at the rugby club for some routines/sessions i've taken.

Its not a bad lung bleeder.

Google insanity, I know its a 13 DVD box set and i've done the plyometric one whch was good.

Edited to add, e-bay are doing them for 40 quid.
