www.economycarhire.com - yay or nay?
Discussion
Looking at cars for a holiday in April and wondering if anyone has dealt with this company? are they ok?
Also will it be an issue that I have a few claims on my insurance, does anyone know if this would be an issue?
2 non fault, one fault and one pending in 5 years!
Any alternatives? looking for something at least Fiesta/Seat Ibiza sized for a week 9th-16th April around £100!!

Can't speak for them - but I've always found www.holidayautos.co.uk to be good, and www.arguscarhire.com.

Never heard of them. May be wrong though but I don't think I've ever been asked about claims in last 5 years when hiring a car outside of UK? Just as they don't ask how many years you've had your licence/NCB - just age is the factor they base it on. PS - get a convertible if it isn't too much more, won't be too hot in April so you'll be able to make the most of it.

I've used these guys before and they were the cheapest by some margin and included the full waiver in their prices (not sure if that's still the case). Tbh I was a little dubious as the price was so good, £120 for a punto for ten days in Majorca, but it was worth a punt-o! (sorry!)

Excellent, Thanks for the advice! I've been looking at convertibles but the cheapest is around £300, I'm looking more for around £120 tops (very tight budget!)PS - get a convertible if it isn't too much more, won't be too hot in April so you'll be able to make the most of it.

Many Thanks, they seem around the same price as economy car hire, some good leads there keep em coming!!I used them last summer in Corfu, got a good price but a couple of things that were different to using auto-europe etc, our booking was with a smaller independent firm who met us at arrivals, the company also had a full to empty policy so we had to pay cash for the tank of fuel when we collected the car (charged about a 15 euro premium)but the service and everything was fine, friends have also used them to but only on the greek islands
